AUGUST 2023
Not too many highlights to report this month.
With regret we have received the resignation of two (2) members due to medical issues which prevents their interaction to attend our meetings.
They are Michael Spiteri and Denis Gibson to whom we wish improved health in their future.
The good news is that we have had a number of good enquiries from couples and a male colleague who may attend next month's meeting, so all seems positive as we strive and continue to grow into the future.
We are sitting with a healthy total of seventy-three (73) active members who provided a good strong roll up at our last meeting.
Originally, congestion occurred at morning tea as the time frame prevents such a number from accessing their drink and biscuits.
So, to streamline the process Bob Ryan and Victor Dalzell have put up their hands to have it laid out better so to fasten the flow.
Another two (2) assistants would be most helpful in fast tracking the process.
As stated last month a group of five (5) attended the Information and Partners Day.
We managed to get some useful information and realise that we, as a Club are in a healthy position compared to others.
Again REMEMBER,
WE ALL HAVE A CONCERNED RESPONSIBILITY TO WELCOME NEWCOMERS TO OUR CLUB by making them feel at home once they have made the effort to attend and walk through the doors.
Potential new members can feel insecure, unsure and possibly intimidated to a degree (especially if they do not know anyone).
Each of us can change that immediately with a smile, a chat, and a welcoming hand.
