MEMBERSHIP
MARCH 2024
The first meeting of the year has now come and gone with the induction of nine (9) new members which is very encouraging.
This month we have an additional four(4) new members to be inducted
into our club.
At present we have seventy nine (79) active members and, with the addition of the four, will take our numbers to eighty three (83) which shows we must be doing something right as we continue to grow.
Last meeting we had two (2) new visitors who I believe have every intention of joining our club in the future.
We extended a warm welcome to them and they expressed their enjoyment at attending
the meeting.
While it is good to see all the new members coming on board, it is just as important that the established members go out of their way to make them most welcome.
Besides wearing our badges, which makes the initial introduction easier, it is important we continue to move around at the meetings to make ourselves known to those new members in a welcoming manner.
For those who are yet to complete their emergency contact listing, I will be continuing to pursue you until all are recorded within our system.
This is totally for your benefit and in your interest to have the details completed and recorded so if anything goes wrong we are able to make the necessary contact with family or friend.
Unfortunately both Leonie and I will not be present at our next meeting being the AGM. Both Terry Hannah and Eddie Paterson have volunteered to fulfil my roll in my absence. I would appreciate it if you all could make it as easy as possible for them by ensuring you get your attendance recorded upon entry into the auditorium.
Look forward to catching up with you all at the April meeting.
